Composition VIntroductions and explanations, overview of commonplacing. Handouts for Composition IV Review.Read each of Apthonius' essay's 3 times, highlighting any words that you think are key and any words that you are not familiar with, then look these words up and note a definition on your handouts. Make any pertinent notes in your commonplacing notebook.Begin CC IV Review- Lesson 1- Overview of Refutation and Confirmation. Discuss Refutation - complete together steps 1, Discredit 2, Exposition 3, Unclarity and 4, Implausibility - using the prompts/example answers in the Teacher guide.Lesson 1, Refutation - Complete Steps, 5, Impossibility 6, Inconsistency 7, Impropriety and 8, Inexpediency at home. No final draft necessary.(Sub Today) Review students' work on steps 5, Impossibility 6, Inconsistency 7, Impropriety 8, Inexpediency together in class.Students will need only loose leaf paper, a folder or binder to hold handouts and notes, and writing instrument for the first two weeks.
